Housegroups
Spending time together outside of a Sunday morning is important, and that’s why a number of people from the fellowship meet during the week to spend time looking at the bible and praying together as a way of supporting each other. It’s a great way to feel more connected within the church, get to know a smaller group of people better and as a way of encouraging and supporting each other.
There are 4 groups run weekly, in homes across Harrogate, each one having a slightly different focus:
Tuesday – 7:30–9pm: This group is aimed towards those who are newer to faith, and who want to begin building a relationship with God. Each week, we read a bible passage together, discuss what it means, and then apply it to our everyday lives. At the moment, we’re studying the Gospel of Luke.
Tuesday – 7:30–9pm: This group is for those who are wanting to go deeper in their faith. A bible passage is read and then discussed. Currently, we’re studying women in the New Testament.
Wednesday – 4–5pm: This group is run for those at High School. We’re slowly working our way through Mark’s Gospel, discussing how it applies to our lives today.
Friday – 2–3:30pm: This group is for those who want a daytime group. We discuss Scripture and pray for each other. We’re currently making our way through the book of Revelation!
