What is Christianity?

Easter Cross

Christianity focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus, found in the Bible. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who was crucified and resurrected to save us from our sinful nature.

There are a few key aspects to Christianity:

Both Easter and Christmas are Christian celebrations. Christmas celebrating the virgin birth of Jesus. And Easter celebrating and recognising Jesus’ death on Good Friday and resurrection on Easter Sunday. We believe that Jesus died to save us from the consequences of our sins.

We believe in one God, who is three persons. This is known as the Trinity, which consists of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Salvation is earned through grace and is a gift from God, it cannot be earned. Meaning God rescues us from the consequences of our sins.
