Useful Information
Before you come to visit, we thought it might be helpful to know a bit more about us:
Finding us
The main entrance of the church can be found on Victoria Avenue by the roundabout, with the hall entrance being on Marlborough Road, opposite the Odeon cinema. On Breakfast Church Sundays, you'll find us in the hall.
If you are coming from the south on the A61 by car, take the third exit off the Prince of Wales roundabout which leads onto York Place and then take the first left after the lights into South Park Road. If you follow this road along to the roundabout, the church is just opposite. If you are coming from the north on the A61 or west on the A59, follow the A61 into the town centre and take the second left after the bus/train station into Victoria Avenue. If you are coming from the east, at the Empress roundabout, take the exit leading towards the town centre. Take the first right into North Park Road and then turn left into Queen Parade, turning right onto Victoria Avenue. The church is on the right hand side.
We are just a few minutes’ walk from the bus/train station – turn left out of the main entrance and then take the first left onto Station Bridge. The back of the church is just opposite the Odeon cinema, on the roundabout.
Parking
Unfortunately, there are parking meters on the roads immediately outside the church, which are operational even on a Sunday morning so if you park here, please make sure you pay. Please note: you are not able to park on the church driveway as this is a designated No Parking area by the council and you may receive a parking ticket.
There is however some free and plenty of disc parking around the church – the following map highlights where, at the time of writing, you can park for a couple of hours with the appropriate Harrogate parking disc. Two points – sometimes the parking restrictions change so please double check the signs within the disc zones that inform you of how long you can stay with/without a disc on a Sunday morning or any other time you are visiting the church. Secondly, make sure your disc is clearly displayed, showing the correct time.
If you are visiting the church and you need a parking disc, pop into our foyer before the service and we can let you have one. Alternatively, you can get one from the Tourist Information Centre or library.

What should I wear?
Please do wear whatever you feel most comfortable in! Some people dress smartly on a Sunday morning, most dress casually but it’s really whatever you feel comfortable in that matters.
What’s a service like?
Typically, we begin our service with a time of sung worship led by our music group, intermingled with prayer and Scripture. The words to the songs are shown on the screen and you can stand or sit, whatever feels most comfortable for you. Other parts of the service can include a family talk, which is aimed at the children but loved by the adults as well, the offering which is for regular members to give to the work of the church, prayer, a bible reading as well as a message centred around the bible reading. We usually finish with worship before sharing refreshments together.
